Get More Space with More Organization
Your home has a lot of things that get used every day, every week, some days, some weeks, and even almost never at all. Part of organization involves strategic placement based on frequency of usage. Why take up valuable space with items that hardly get used. You want your frequently used products to be in their place. When you are working on housekeeping tasks, you want simple, effective solutions to cleaning and organizing. Here are some helpful ideas to help make your cleaning go quicker and smoother.
Media Organization
Your home has a lot of media products that include items like DVDs, Blu-Rays, gaming console games, computer software, etc. These items can often get scattered around throughout the house. Designate a shelving unit for your media so that everyone knows where it will be. If you have kids, you can always have a smaller shelf system in their rooms so that the movies don’t lie around just anywhere.
Puzzles and Activity Books
If you have kids in the household, try designating a bookshelf or another type of shelving unit for their puzzles, coloring books, and activity books. That way they know where everything is when they want it and you save time when cleaning.
Household Tools and Small Accessories
Every home also has small tools like pliers, knives, screwdrivers, etc. and plenty of small accessories like wall hooks, nails, screws, picture hangers, hinges, scrapers, and more. A small drawer in the kitchen or the laundry room is a great place to store these items. If they are in one location, you’ll know where they are when you need them and so will everyone else. Having these items scattered in various locations throughout the house can waste time when you don’t really have it. Cleanup will also be easier since you have a designated spot for these items.
